  2. Click on the pencil for the corresponding supplemental charge.
  3. Set the Billed amount you desire.( Note: this will only affect the amount you bill your customer, not what the system will generate for your cost with the carrier.)

For more information please review the Supplemental Charge section.

How do I assign sales reps to a customer, and can I assign more than one?

From the "Customer Tools" module select "Commissions". From here you will need to search for the sales rep you want to add to the account. Enter the first few letters of the first or last name of the rep. A drop down will appear. Highlight the rep you want to add to the account. The system will default the commission amount to the standard for that sales rep.

You can change commission amount for the sales rep by clicking on the Edit link adjacent to their name.

In order to assign more than one Rep to an account, just search for the second person and do the same as listed above. (Note: Only the top listed Rep (the default rep) will be visible from the Customer Profile, but all sales reps will be listed on the load itself. Commissions will be assigned to the new sales rep for all loads generated after the sales rep has been added. This process is NOT retroactive.)

How do I set up a customer to bill their loads to another customer?

You will need to link the additional payer to the customer profile. The additional payer will need to be added to BrokerWare as a customer before you can proceed with linking the accounts.

  1. From the Customer Profile, click on "Third Party Payer" in the Customer Tools Module.
  2. Search for the additional payer by entering the first few letter of the company's name.
  3. Select the company from the drop down and select "Add Payer".

This will allow you to select the additional payer from a drop down while generating a load using the complete form.

How do I Set the customers credit limit?

From the Customer Tools module select the "Credit Information" link. From here you can add a credit profile for the customer. This page will also show you a summary of the customers current credit status.

To add a credit profile:

  1. Select "Add a New Credit Profile"
  2. From the "Credit Profile" you can add credit references with their contact information.
  3. The "Credit Processed" drop down is where you will select their credit type. (Note: All selections from this drop down with the exceptions of Approved, and Shipper Approved, your staff will receive an alert stating that the Customer is out of Credit.)

The credit Profile marked as "active" will be used to process the customer's credit. Multiple credit profiles are allowed to show the credit history for a customer.

The credit limit is based on the total for all booked shipments (not only invoiced shipments).

For Example, if your customer has a $5000.00 credit limit and they book a load that takes them over the limit a notice will appear at the top of every load for that customer. If your customer ships more than $5000.00 a month, you can increase the credit limit to eliminate the warning.

How do I change the payment terms for a customer?

To set the payment terms for a customer, you will need to modify the credit profile. In the top right of the credit profile is a "Terms" drop down. From there you have the following options; Due Upon receipt, Net10, Net15, Net20, Net30, Net45, and Net60.

How do I tell what loads a customer has in transit?

This block is only designed to show a small handful of the most recent shipments. Follow these steps to see all shipments currently "In Transit".

  2. Change the First drop down from "All" to "In Transit".
  3. You can also set a date range based off either the pickup date, or delivery date.
